Lazy Girl Sticky Buns

Lazy Girl Sticky Buns

I love to cook, and I can, but I am also l-a-z-y.  Sometimes I want to make something that only looks  like it was hard to do.  Maybe I secretly need the adoring looks from my children.  They are so few and far between when they get older.  Anyway, these sticky buns were DELISH.  I made them Sunday because I let a loaf of frozen dough get too big.  I was going to make bread sticks.  Fail.  I thought if I “doctored” up the dough I could save it.  I melted 6 tablespoons of  butter in a bowl, and mixed about  3/4 cup of brown sugar and 3 tsp. of cinnamon  in another bowl.  I cut the dough with scissors into 18-20 equal sized pieces, dipped the dough pieces in the butter and then in the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture. I let them sit for about half an hour covered.  They’d been risen to death already.   Glass pan.  350.  20-25 ish minutes.

Dribble icing:

3 ounces cream cheese

1 Tb. butter

1 tsp. vanilla

2 cups powdered sugar

*Get on the treadmill.  They’re called “sticky buns” not “skinny buns”!

  1. Yes Please! I am also lazy and like the easy recipes. I don’t want to be in the kitchen all day, and cleaning up the mess all night. I have been craving some cinnamon rolls, and these might be the trick! Yum!

    1. Let us know how they work out! They really are sooo good. Dough, cinnamon and butter… Thanks for checking in on our blog. We love and use your veggie and fruit info.
